Meet Dr. Edwards
Christopher W. Edwards, D.D.S. is a Specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He has lived in Fort Worth and practiced in North Texas since 2009. Dr. Edwards was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle and earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from McMurry University in Abilene. He then attended the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2002. Dr. Edwards practiced general dentistry in Bryan-College Station; and then in 2009, he completed his advanced education residency at the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Dr. Edwards’ thesis research in orthodontic temporary anchorage devices was published in the World Journal of Orthodontics.
Prior to his orthodontic training, Dr. Edwards worked in Washington, D.C. in the office of a United States Congressman representing a district in North Texas. He directed legislative issues and appropriations for the Congressman in the areas of Healthcare and Education.
Dr. Edwards married his high school sweetheart in 2000, and they are the proud parents of a son and daughter. Dr. Edwards is actively involved in church and charitable community organizations. He has participated in dental mission trips to Honduras and Mexico. Dr. Edwards is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association and the Texas Association of Orthodontists. In his spare time, Dr. Edwards enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, reading, hiking, camping and enjoying cultural activities.
